Rangers drew level on points with Celtic in the Park’s Motor Group Scottish Women’s Premier League after victory in Thursday’s derby.

Celtic’s Caitlin Hayes had the ball in the net from a Jacynta corner but it was ruled out for a foul on the keeper.

Pamela Tajonar kept Rangers out in the first half, turning away a Brogan Hay cross-shot, saving Rachel McLauchlan’s half volley and tipping over Tessel Middag’s free kick.

Midway through the second half, Kirsty Howat struck from the edge of the area, with her effort going in off the far post.

Claire O’Riordan went close to an equaliser but Victoria Esson made the save and Kelly Clark was unable to net the loose ball.

Glasgow City are now five points clear of both sides with four games to go in the title race, Celtic five ahead of Rangers on goal-difference.
