Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made an offer to sign Barcelona star Alexia Putellas and PSG are willing to pay her release clause to sign her.
Mundo Deportivo have reported that PSG has offered Putellas a four-year, with just over 48 hours left of the transfer window in France.
Putellas is contracted at Barcelona until 2026, though the Spanish side have the option of an extra year.
Alexia Putellas will only leave if PSG pay release clause
The Spanish publication report that Barcelona will only allow Alexia Putellas to leave if she agrees to the move and PSG pay her release clause.
Putellas is one of Barcelona’s most important players and losing her at the start of the season would be a huge blow for the Spanish side.
The 31-year-old is one of the favourites for the Women’s Ballon d’Or award, so it’s no surprise that PSG would express interest.
Both PSG and Barcelona will play in this season’s Champions League competition. They automatically enter the draw for the League Phase of the Champions League, which will be made on Friday.

Putellas ‘willing to stay at Barcelona’
Mundo Deportivo claim that Putellas’ initial intention is to stay at Barcelona.
However, the French club’s contract offer is said to be much higher than that of Barcelona.
Putellas last signed a contract with Barcelona in 2024 for two years with the option of a third.
The links to Putellas come at the same time that Spanish publication El Periodico have reported interest from PSG in Barcelona teammate Vicky Lopez.
Which players have left Barcelona over the summer?
Barcelona have lost a number of players over the summer transfer window.
The most recent of which was Lucia Corrales, who joined the London City Lionesses for ÂŁ430,000.
Jana Fernandez also joined the Lionesses, while Fridolina Rolfo and Ellie Roebuck both found new clubs after mutually agreeing to terminate their contracts with Barcelona.
Roebuck joined Aston Villa, while Rolfo decided to join Manchester United.
Martina Fernandez also left for the Women’s Super League at Everton, after a loan spell last season.
Barcelona Women director Xavi OâCallaghan defended the departures of senior players from the womenâs team this summer.
Before the departure of Corrales, OâCallaghan said: âThe womenâs team has raised its wage bill by âŹ1M (ÂŁ864,000), so the money is there, but the market is inflated.
âTo keep the key players, you need to spend more. This means relying on the academy and carefully deciding where to invest.â
