FA WSL licenses have been granted to FA Women’s Championship top two, with promotions to the FAWC announced and Player of the Month awards also decided.

The FA today confirmed that club licences for The FA Women’s Super League have been awarded to both Manchester United FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC for next season.

In addition both Blackburn Rovers and Coventry United have been awarded club licenses for The FA Women’s Championship for next season, after topping the FAWPL Northern Premier and Southern Premier Divisions respectively.

Rovers’ boss Gemma Donnelly told rovers.co.uk:

“For me it’s been both an amazing and frustrating 12 months and I’m just finally thankful that all the hard work both on the pitch and behind the scenes has been recognised.

“We can finally say that we’ve earned promotion in the best way possible. Which is for recognition of our continued development at this club.
