Although Blackburn only lead the Northern Division on goal-difference, their four games in hand over their nearest two challengers give Rovers a strong hand in the title race and this Sunday they visit net to bottom Nottingham Forest.
Fylde will go third with a win over basement side Newcastle, while West Brom welcome fifth-placed Leicester and there’s a mid-table meeting of Derby and Stoke.
A massive ‘six-pointer’ in the Southern championship battle brings together the two unbeaten sides; leaders Tottenham and third-placed Cardiff.
Charlton need to beat basement side West Ham to keep in touch at the top, there’s a second London derby as Crystal Palace play QPR, while Lewes and Swindon go head to head with just 2 points separating them.
Midlands Division 1 top side Loughborough Foxes take an eight-point advantage to Birmingham & West Midlands, while their main threat Wolves travel to TNS. Radcliffe Olympic host second-placed Sporting Khalsa whom they trail by 4 points but with as many games in hand. Elsewhere, there’s a basement battle between Leicester City Ladies and Loughborough Students
Chorley’s Northern Division 1 leadership can be taken by any of three sides with games in hand and they have a huge test this weekend when they visit Guiseley who are second.
Their other two closest rivals are both home, with Hull hosting Blackpool Wren Rovers and Liverpool Marshall Feds entertaing Leeds.
A very tight South East promotion chase features Cambridge United in pole position playing Gillingham, who may only be sixth but are unbeaten and have played several games less than those above them. MK Dons could end the day top if results went their way, including their game with Norwich. It’s not impossible Actonians could be first either but would at least require a big win over Stevenage. Luton maintain an interest in the top end of the table and are home to Enfield.
South West leaders Chichester are at Shanklin, second-placed Plymouth play Basingstoke, Keynsham and Larkhall look to keep up their challenge when heading to Exeter and Brislington reespectively.
