Poland vs Sweden preview
It will be Poland vs Sweden at the Swissporarena in Luzern on Tuesday night on Day 7 of Women’s Euro 2025.
Poland are competing at the Women’s Euros for the first time in their history. They put in a spirited effort against one of the tournament favourites, Germany, on Friday night.
Germany took 52 minutes to open the scoring through Julie Brand, before Lea Schuller secured a 2-0 victory.
The result ended what was an 11-game unbeaten run (10 wins, one draw) since a defeat to Iceland in July 2024.
Poland will crash out of Euro 2025 if they lost to Sweden and Germany avoid defeat to Denmark.
Sweden have aspirations of winning the tournament for the first time since they lifted the trophy at the inaugural Women’s Euros held in 1984.
Their bid got off to a positive start Filippa Angeldal’s second-half effort secured a 1-0 victory over Denmark.
Peter Gerhardsson’s side have reached the semi-finals of the last three major international tournaments and will hope to go further in Switzerland this summer.

Poland vs Sweden prediction
Sweden are in prime position to qualify for the quarter-finals of Euro 2025 after they beat Denmark.
With Germany seen as the group favourites, Sweden could not afford a defeat to Denmark in their opening games.
Not many are giving Poland a chance in Group C at what is their first major international tournament.
However, before the loss to Germany they had enjoyed an 11-game unbeaten run, and will be determined to keep their knockout phase hopes alive going into the final group game with Denmark.
Sweden though have too much experience on the international stage. After all, they have reached the semi-finals 0f the last three major international tournaments.
So we predict a 2-1 victory for Sweden, which according to the top UK football betting sites, is available at odds of 5/1.
Prediction: Poland 1-2 Sweden
Poland vs Sweden betting tips
Betting tip 1: Filippa Angeldal to score – 13/5
Filippa Angeldal scored the matchwinner for Sweden in their Euro 2025 victory over Denmark on Friday night.
The 27-year-old Real Madrid midfielder has been in exceptional form for Sweden in 2025 with four goals to her name.
In fact, 10 of her 23 goals for Sweden have come since the beginning of 2024.
It is that sort of scoring form which is why Angeldal will fancy her chances of finding the net again, when Sweden face Poland on Tuesday evening.
Betting tip 2: Half-time draw, full-time Sweden victory – 10/3
Poland dug deep to frustrate Germany during their opening game of Women’s Euro 2025 on Friday.
It took Germany 52 minutes to break the deadlock against a stubborn Polish defence in their Group C opener.
Sweden too found it hard to break down Denmark in the other game of Group C on Friday.
Angeldal’s 55th-minute free-kick was all that separated Sweden and their Scandinavian rivals.
With that said, Poland’s stubborn defence could also frustrate Sweden. However, Peter Gerhardsson’s side should have enough quality to eventually break their opposition down.

What are Sweden’s chances of winning Euro 2025?
As things stand, Sweden are currently fifth in the bookmakers’ odds to win Women’s Euro 2025.
They are priced at 11/1 to lift the trophy on July 27th in Basel. This puts them behind tournament favourites Spain, Germany, France, and England.
It would be the biggest surprise in the tournament’s history for Poland to win Euro 2025. They are priced at 500/1 to win the trophy and 100/1 just to finish top of Group C.
