Hayley James and Zoe Boote then gave Leicester a two-goal cushion, with Bardford making for a tense finish with their fourth on 83 minutes.
West Brom moved into the top half of the table after a 2-1 success at Nottingham Forest. Abi Cottam converted from the spot on 13 minutes after a foul on Kelly Darby, with Olivia Mitcham heading home from a corner for their second, 3 minutes after the interval. Catherine Beaver halved the deficit with a 61st-minute penalty, with Katie Lowder going close to an equaliser but denied by keeper Bec Thomas.

Southern Division: Coventry Strengthen Position
Coventry United are now favourites to finish runners-up, following a 2-1 victory at rivals Cardiff. They had gone behind to a Chloe CHivers goal but Alison Hall levelled and Amber Hughes grabbed the winner.
Lewes leapfrogged C&K Basildon into sixth spot when beating them 2-0 away. Sian Heather opened the scoring and Georgia Bridges was set up for the second by Leeta Rutherford.
Portsmouth won 3-2 over QPR at Fratton Park, a result which looks certain to condemn Rangers to last place. Rangers had late hope with their second goal on 85 minutes by Sara Lopez but they were unable to rescue a point.

Northern Division 1: Hull Hold Second Spot
Champions Guiseley are a massive 13 points clear after hitting second-placed Hull for six, Chantelle O’Hara getting half the tally. Sarah Danby, Natalie Brace and Danica Roberts also scored for Vixens, while substitute Alice Stewart marked her Tigers debut with a late goal.
Liverpool Feds still trail Hull by 2 points in the chase for second place, having gone down at home to Chester le Street. Although the visitors netted a first-minute penalty and went 2-0 up in 4 minutes, the Feds were level by half time through Laura Bartup and Lynsey Longhurst. However, Town’s third goal on 54 minutes was enough for the victory.
Morecambe’s 2-1 win at Leeds has made sure of seventh place for the Shrimpers. Veatriki Sarri had brought the home side back level but a second for the visitors took the points back to Lancashire.
South East Division 1: MK Dons Move Second
Gillingham are 14 points clear having won 2-1 at Cambridge, where Fliss Gibbons and Charlotte Gurr both scored in a three-minute spell late in the game. But the unbeaten Gills had trailed at half-time, after Evie Gallop set up Laura Mills to volley home off the bar.
