Plymouth Boss Departs

Argyle say that Leonard took over as boss a year ago with the team struggling badly at the bottom of the Premier League South. While unable to avoid relegation, Dave did mastermind a terrific win over Marine Academy Plymouth to secure the Devon Cup for 2016.

This season has seen the club react to relegation with a strong rebuilding process, including the development of a reserve team for Argyle, and both sides remain in contention to win promotion from their respective leagues.

“It is with deep regret that we have accepted Dave’s resignation and I would like to place on record our sincere gratitude for all his hard work,” said Plymouth Argyle Chairman Chris French.

“He has taken the club forward in the last 12 month and I know the players loved working with Dave. We now move on with 11 games remaining this season for the first-team.”

Assistant manager Travis Rowland will now take the team until the end of the season
