Player of the Season finalists for Ladbrokes Northwest Football Awards

The list of finalists for the 2021 Ladbrokes Northwest Football Awards sees Manchester United’s Women’s Ona Batlle shortlisted in two categories.

Laura Wolfe, speaking on behalf of the Ladbrokes Northwest Football Awards, said: “We have had a record number of votes for the Player of the Season categories this year.  Fans and clubs have really got behind their players.  The finalists showcase the immense hotbed of talent that exists in both the women’s and men’s games across our region.  The winners will be revealed at the Gala Awards Dinner on Monday 22 November at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford.  I can’t wait!”

This year’s Awards marks the 14th year of recognising the best talent of the beautiful game in the region.  The NWFA 2021 will see awards presented to those who have achieved footballing excellence, from grassroots level through to the elite level, in what was a season unlike any other for fans, players and clubs alike.

Women’s Player of the Season:

  • Feiruz Abdullahi – Salford City
  • Ona Batlle – Manchester United
  • Missy Bo Kearns – Liverpool
  • Izzy Christiansen – Everton
  • Chloe Kelly – Manchester City

The Athletic Women’s Rising Star:

  • Ona Batlle – Manchester United
  • Lauren Hemp – Manchester City
  • Ceri Holland – Liverpool
