Only seven Regional League games survive the weather

Five Midlands fixtures and two in the South East were all that went ahead in the eight Women’s Regional Leagues on the last match day of 2022.

EAST MIDLANDS 

Premier – Summer Gayle scored twice as Notts County edged third-placed Lincoln United 3-2, to extend their lead  at the top to six points.

1 South – Third-in-the-table Peterborough United Development twice levelled at home to their counterparts from Northampton Town, who eventually ran out 6-2 winners – having led by the only goal at half time – to go seven points clear.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST 

1 North – Leatherhead’s Kacie-May Harlow scored twice in each half, as they turned a 3-2 interval lead over Hackney into a 7-4 result to go up three places to fifth. Whyteleafe put six past Denham United with three from Abigail Woollvin, leapfrogging them in the table as they climbed three places to seventh. 

WEST MIDLANDS 

Premier – Kidderminster Harriers lead the table by four points, following a 5-1 result over Redditch United.

1 North – Tamworth moved up two places to seventh when becoming the first team to take points of leaders Shifnal Town, Catherine Harris and Daisy Wynn finding the net for a 2-0 victory.

1 South – Emma Sabel and Shannon Roberts netted as Droitwich Spa defeated Westfields 2-0 to go seventh.
