Manchester City boss Andrée Jeglertz leads November WSL manager of the month contenders

The November WSL manager of the month nominees are here, with Manchester City boss Andrée Jeglertz leading the contenders after a perfect month.

Manchester City won all of their games this month and took top spot off Chelsea

November WSL manager of the month nominees

  • Andrée Jeglertz (Manchester City)
  • Jocelyn Precheur (London City Lionesses)

Andrée Jeglertz

After a short month in the league there are just two managers up for November manager of the month in the WSL.

There is no doubt that Manchester City boss Andrée Jeglertz is leading the contenders for November.

Jeglertz is looking to make it back to back awards for the first time in his career after being named October manager of the month.

City played three games in the league before the international break and took nine points from nine in what could be a huge period for the club.

With Chelsea slipping up against Liverpool last weekend the Blues were finally overtaken at the top of the table for the first since September.

City earned one goal wins against West Ham and Everton to kick off their month but they ended November with their best result of the campaign so far.

A 3-0 win in the Manchester derby sent City top and the dominant performance put them in a great position for after the break.

Both Khadija Shaw and Kerstin Casparij enjoyed great months for the league leaders and were also nominated for player of the month.

Jocelyn Precheur

Up against Jeglertz this month is London City Lionesses boss Jocelyn Precheur.

The Lionesses have been a refreshing new face in the WSL this year and they continued their impressive campaign with two dominant wins in November.

Although they lost to Chelsea at the start of the month, a 1-0 loss didn’t feel like a bad result.

Precheur’s side then kicked on with back to back resounding wins against Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Six points out of nine this month sent the newly promoted side up to sixth in the table, just two points behind a European spot.

The Lionesses also have a star nominated for player of the month, after Freya Godfrey picked up two goals and two assists in her last three games.

Nobody expected London City Lionesses to be quite this good in their debut WSL season but they are going toe-to-toe with the very best and look certain to remain in the top flight at the very least.

Although Precheur enjoyed his best month in the league so far it is unlikely he will win manager of the month over Jeglertz who was perfect in November.
