Provan, who can also play further forward as a winger, joined Reading ahead of their inaugural FA WSL 2 campaign in 2014, where the Royals finished third, narrowly missing out on promotion. The Winchester-born defender was also a part of the 2016 Reading team who, despite finishing eighth, impressed in their first season in WSL 1, reports nclfc.co.uk
On joining the Lady Pies, Provan said “I am really excited to join such an experienced squad and to have the opportunity to play in the WSL 1 Spring Series. The players and staff have been so welcoming, I can’t wait for the games to start”
Notts County Manager Rick Passmoor added “We have a very experienced back line, and Shelly certainly adds a wealth of knowledge to that. Shelly gives us a different option on the left-hand side, in an attacking sense as well, and she will be a great addition to the team.”
