Northern Ireland came from behind to win 3-1 in their final FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 qualifier, hosts Latvia conceding three own-goals.

The victory meant Kenny Shiels’ side brought their points tally to 19 – a record haul for a qualification campaign.

Jackie Burns pushed a Nelle Treimane strike over the bar but could not keep out Anastasija Rocane’s header from the resulting corner.

Northern Ireland drew level in the 36th minute. Demi Vance’s corner pushed into her own net by Enija-Anna Vaivode.

In the 89th minute, another Vance corner was bundled into her own net by Arta Luize Lubina.

Burns dived full length to push away a close range strike from Viktorija Zaicikova, before in stoppage time Hamilton smashed the ball against the post and it bounced in off the keeper.
