Nikita Parris: WSL legend
There is no doubt that Nikita Parris will go down as an icon in the WSL when she retires from football.
The former Lioness has spent time at various English clubs including Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Brighton, Arsenal and finally London City Lionesses.
It is with the Lionesses that Parris made her milestone appearance this weekend.
The 31-year-old marked her landmark cap with a goal against Tottenham, as London City Lionesses continue to show that they can go toe to toe with the top teams in England.

“Nikita Parris is a legend of English football. I don’t know if people really realise what 200 games in the WSL means, it’s massive, it’s impressive.” Said London City Lionesses manager, Jocelyn Precheur, after the game.
Parris has scored 71 goals during her lengthy career in England’s top flight and is also in league’s the top five all-time scorers.
Despite her vast experience in the WSL, Parris has won just one league title throughout her career with Manchester City in 2016.
With the forward now on two hundred appearances in England, she is now staring down the barrel at another historic achievement.
Jordan Nobbs and Millie Bright currently share the record for most appearances in the WSL and Parris is now just ten behind her former England teammates in the record books.
Millie Bright one step away from history
While Jordan Nobbs is playing in WSL2, Millie Bright is still racking up appearances in the top flight.
Chelsea’s captain will stand alone as the WSL all-time record appearance holder when she leads her team out next weekend against Liverpool.

The Blues also have a chance to make history themselves on Sunday, as they can go 34 games unbeaten in the league – the most in WSL history.
Bright has been at the centre of a storm of controversy lately after she refused to comment on the Mary Earps saga which has sent shockwaves throughout women’s football.
With that being said, Bright remains the picture of professionalism and she will be looking forward to a landmark afternoon on WSL matchday nine.
