REGIONAL LEAGUE ROUND-UP: Norton & Stockton Ancients net twelve goals to go top of the North East Premier, Newbury’s 4-0 win at Shanklin has them in pole position in the Southern Premier.
EASTERN – Bedford narrowly beaten at leaders Billericay
PREMIER – Billericay Town just about managed to keep up their 100% record, edging Bedford with the best of five goals, Nicole Farmer, Lindsey Morgan and Sally Appleton finding the net. Writtle walloped Lowestoft Town 15-0 at home, Leanne Stubbings top-scoring with four. Grace Birchall hit a hat-trick in Acle’s 6-2 result at Colchester Town. Charlene Roach got both goals for AFC Sudbury in their 2-1 victory at Brentwood, Cambridge City defeated Dunstable by a similar margin, while Colney Heath drew 1-1 with Royston Town.
1 NORTH – Ipswich Wanderers went top with a 2-0 win over Kings Lynn Town and Ipswich Town Development got off the mark after a 3-2 result against Cambridge United Reserves.
1 SOUTH – Stevenage Reserves recorded a fourth win in a row, crushing hosts Bishops Stortford 14-0, with Hannah Marshall on target five times. Little Thurrock Dynamos won 2-0 at Hertford Town, Gemma Fraser getting both.
CUP 1ST ROUND – Harlow Town won through 3-1 at Hoddesdon Town Owls, while Histon had a walkover versus Silver End United.
EAST MIDLANDS – Star Steward serves up hat-trick
PREMIER – Peterborough Northern Star beat Eastwood 4-0 in the clash of the top two, Cassie Steward contributing a treble. Leicester City WD’s Gabriella Reid got four in the 7-3 goal-fest at Mansfield Hosiery Mills that sent them second. Oughtibridge are a third side still on maximum points after defeating Mansfield Town 2-0. A goal from Loughborough Students’ Rosie Anderson got them up and running in a 1-1 tie at Arnold Town., Kettering Town went down 4-0 at home to Ollerton Town, Nettleham jumped above Rise Park into fifth when beting them by the same margin.
1 NORTH – Woodlands went top with their 3-1 result over Clifton, replacing former leaders Calverton MW. Lincoln Moorlands Railway are third after putting si past ten-player Market Warsop. Hykeham Town and Sleaford Town are just goal-difference behind, the latter 4-1 winners at Draycott Victoria, the former edging out Grimsby Borough 2-1.
1 SOUTH – AFC Leicester are a point behind non-playing Northampton Town after defeating Desford 2-0. Peterborough United are still unbeaten after a 3-2 win over Corby S&L, Oadby & Wigston Dynamo ended Corby Town’s perfect start with a 3-3 draw and two goal from Samantha Hargrave. Loughborough Foxes Vixens suffered a fourth defeat but just by 4-3 at Cosby United.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Parkwood go level with top two
Parkwood Rangers went level on points with top two AFC Phoenix and Crawley Wasps after a 2-1 victory over Fulham, Emily Vaughan and Sophie Hayes their goalscorers.
CUP 1ST ROUND – Crawley Wasps crushed Carshalton Athletic 9-0 in a Group A tie, substitute Hayley Fowle scoring three times. In Group B, AFC Phoenix put five past Aylesford with a couple from Saskia Philp and Eastbourne Town went down 2-0 at home to London Kent Football United, for whom Laura Susarta and Emily Hart scored.
NORTH EAST – Norton net dozen to lead on goal-diference
PREMIER – Norton & Stockton Ancients’ dozen goals against Wakefield has them top on goal-difference, with hat-tricks for Nyci Thorns and Anna Mawston. Farsley Celtic ended Durham Cestria’s 100% form as Olivia Turnbull came off the bench to get the solitary goal. RACA Tynedale got their first points with sub Natasha Wilson on target to beat York City. South Shields opened by winning a seven-goal thriller at Boldon CA Villa.
1 NORTH – Boro Rangers held top spot with a 5-1 result at Blyth Lions. York RI ran in no less then nine second-half goals in their 11-1 score at Guisborough, Jodie Langstaff featuring with five of them.
1 SOUTH – Altofts are now in pole position after Natalie Riley’s first-half goal was enough to see off Harrogate Town. Sheffield Wednesday were 2-1 winners over previous leaders Malet Lambert, Sophie Eyre and Brooke Marsden on the score-sheet for the Owls. Harrogate Railway’s Nicola Hadley had both goals in the 2-0 win at Doncaster Belles. Ossett Albion got their first points at the third attempt with a 7-4 success at Swallownest Beighton, where sub Nicola Swift netted a treble.
CUP – Wallsend BC booked a trip to Norton in the next round after putting eight past hosts Prudhoe Town, Sam Deverdics and Brittany Davison both scoring three of them.
NORTH WEST – Merseyrail stay on track
PREMIER – Merseyrail Bootle made it three straight wins with a 4-2 outcome at Wigan Athletic and are new leaders after MSB Woolton lost 3-2 at home to Manchester Stingers. Fleetwood Town Wrens went third when hitting Sir Tom Finney 6-1, Danni Cross completing a hat-trick from the spot. Tranmere Rovers overtook Burnley with the only goal of their meeting, Blackpool and Blackburn CSC both banked their first point in a 1-1 tie.
1 NORTH – Bury stayed top with a big 10-2 win over Burscough Dynamo in which Jordan Bailey struck four times. Penrith climbed into second after a 2-0 defeat of Morecambe Reserves.
1 SOUTH – Liverpool Feds Reserves lost the leadership after crashing to a 13-0 home loss to FC United, for whom it was high fives for five-goal Nicole Hatcliffe. Curzon Ashton took over at the top with a 4-2 win at City of Liverpool that included a Keeley Goodwin treble. West Didsbury & Chorlton got all three goals at Altrincham, Warrington Wolverines were 3-1 victors against Crewe Alexandra Development.
SOUTHERN – Newbury take over at top
PREMIER – Newbury are new leaders having won 4-0 at Shanklin, Gemma Burnett begging a brace. Ascot United came away from Team Solent 7-1 winners, Lucy Holzman-Clarke with a hat-trick as they went third. Winchester City Flyers and New Milton Town shared six goals, Hannah Chaffey twice on target for the former.
1 SOUTH – AFC Bournemouth hit Southampton WFC Res for six in the top of the table clash, Rosie Eden starring with a hat-trick.
LEAGUE CUP 1ST ROUND – Warsash Wasps will host Southampton WFC Reserves after netting six at Alton, where Megan Fox scored four times. Milton Keynes City next host Wargrave after a 2-0 win at Benson Lionesses. Chesham United edged Oxford City 2-1 after extra-time, Dawne Campbell and sub Kate Bowers their scorers to set up a tie at Winchester City Flyers. Woodley United’s Rosie Page-Smith got two in the 4-2 win over Wycombe Wanderers and they now have a trip to Fleet Town. Barton Rovers sank Wokingham & Emmbrook 6-0 with three for Stephanie Nelson, their reward being a home match with Newbury.
SOUTH WEST – Middlezoy reclaim leadership
PREMIER – Middlezoy Rovers beat Ilminster Town 3-1 to go back to the top, Sarah Carling scoring twice. Forest Green Rovers’ Marika Niekuwal netted three in a 5-1 victory at Keynsham Development to go third. Bishops Lydeard beat Charlestown 4-0 to go fourth, goals shared by Holly Miller and Emily Syme,
EASTERN DIV – Almondsbury’s 7-2 score against Cheltenham Town Development sees them top of the table, Jamie-Leigh Worlock and Rhianne Oakley with two each. Portishead pushed their way into second, a 4-0 win at Frome Town including two for Shannon Holloway. Team Mendip overcame a 2-1 half-time deficit in beating Cheltenham Civil Service 5-2. Swindon Spitfires ensured their first points on the board with five goals by the break at Oldland Abbotonians, who got two back in the second half.
WESTERN DIV – Bude Town are third after a 4-0 beating of Bideford in which Charlotte Mulligan-Lang scored tow of their goals. Activate’s first point came in a 3-3 draw at Exeter & Tedburn Rangers, Wensday Wise with two of their goals.
WEST MIDLANDS – United thrash Sporting in Solihull derby
PREMIER – Both Crusaders and Leafield Athletic made it four straight wins, the former 2-1 at Knowle, the latter 4-1 over Coundon Court. Stockingford AA Pavilion stayed unbeaten with an 8-2 defeat of Wolverhampton Sporting. Bedworth United bagged eleven goals at Leamington Lions.
1 NORTH – Sutton Coldfield Town just managed to stay on maximum points with a 3-2 result at home to Shrewsbury Town, for whom Beth Francis claimed her first goal after five years with the club. Leek Town have won both their matches after a 5-0 defeat of Atherstone Rangers, Goldenhill Wanderers have a similar record having won 2-1 at Brereton Town. Bilbrook are third thanks to a 3-1 victory over Florence Colliery.
1 SOUTH – The Solihull derby saw United make it four wins in a row with a 9-2 win at Sporting. Gornal and Redditch United have also yet to drop points, the former putting six past Coventry Sphinx with Sophie Perrin’s hat-trick including two penalties, the latter getting five against Droitwich Spa. Rugby Town still seek a first point after a narrow 3-2 home reverse by Stourbridge.
