Murray Makes Doncaster Move

Murray, who finished the first half of the 2016 Scottish Premier League season with Celtic, joins the Belles ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Sunderland.

The attacking midfielder has experience in FA WSL 1 with spells at Arsenal and Bristol.

After signing for the club, Murray said: “I’m really excited to be joining Doncaster Belles. It’s going to be a tough second half of the season for us, but I’m looking forward to the challenge and I can’t wait to be back playing in the WSL.

“Doncaster is one of the most established clubs in the WSL – It has a lot of history.

“When I spoke with Emma [Coates], I was excited to hear her plans for the future and it was something I was keen to be a part of.

“The opportunity to play in one of the top leagues in Europe is something I couldn’t turn down.”

Following a successful few days training, Doncaster say Murray impressed them with her talent and work ethic and she feels she can add a lot to this Belles side.

“I hope I can bring experience and energy to the team.”, She added.

“I’m a hardworking player and I’ll put my heart and soul into the team; Giving my all every time I step on the pitch.”

Upon signing Murray, Emma Coates said: “We’re excited to have Christie with us. She’s a tenacious player and a true professional.”
