Montemurro New Manager of Arsenal Women

The Gunners have confirmed that Joseph Montemurro has joined them from Melbourne City as manager of Arsenal Women.

Montemurro, who holds a UEFA Pro License qualification and a Masters Degree in Sports Coaching, led Melbourne City Women to back to back championship winning campaigns in the last two seasons..

He told www.arsenal.com: “I feel honoured and humbled to join Arsenal. I’m excited by the challenge and I am really looking forward to working with the talented staff and players at this great club.”

Arsenal star Kim Little played for him in Australia and added; “Joe is a great manager. I really enjoyed working with him previously and I think that he has the qualities that we need to help us achieve our goals, and ultimately win more trophies.”

This appointment is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
