On signing Clark, Sherwood told yeoviltownladies.com: “I am pleased to have signed Molly, she is a player yet again I have known for a while and absolutely know what she will bring to this group of players.”
“She is a midfielder with good understanding of the game, knows how and when to play short or long and has the desire to show she can again compete at this level.
“She will add further depth and competition to our squad which enables us to keep that competitive environment in and around the club.”
Molly has previous experience of playing WSL 1 football whilst her time at Bristol in 2011 and making it to the FA Cup final against Arsenal. Clark returned to Portsmouth Ladies where she spent a further 3 seasons and in that time won the FA WPL Southern Division in 2015, however missed out on gaining promotion as current WSL 2 side Sheffield FC won the play-off final.
The midfielder moved to FA WPL South West league contenders Chichester City, netting 12 goals so far this season and is ready for the challenge that lies ahead.
On signing she said: “I am very happy to have been given another opportunity to compete at this level that I was once at and I feel Yeovil is the right club for me to take on this exciting challenge.
“Jamie has seen me play several times and knows about me as a player, he is aware of what I am capable of and what I can bring to the team.
“Training and preparations are going well and I am really enjoying myself, I have fitted in straight away because everyone at the club have made me feel so welcome.
“I am really excited for Spring Series, in fact it couldn’t come soon enough, we all itching to get out there and play!”
Clark is currently part of the England Beach Soccer squad who are set to compete in the Euro Championships in Portugal this April.
