Milton Keynes Dons Ladies lift Berks & Bucks Cup

Milton Keynes Dons lifted the Berks & Bucks County FA Women’s Senior Cup after a 4-2 victory over Chesham United at Slough Town FC.

A dramatic last 7 minutes of the first half saw Leah Cudone open the scoring for the Dons and Farrow denied by a double save from Chesham keeper Lucia Delves, with Kate Bowers then levelling from 30 yards only for Charley Clarke to restore the lead in a stoppage-time goalmouth scramble.

Vicky Barrett extended the advantage on the hour mark, forcing home a header after the ball had come back off the crossbar from Laura Bright’s attempt and Cudone later made the game safe with the Dons’ fourth goal.

Gemma Fraser pulled one back for the lower division side but the trophy was headed to Milton Keynes.
