Millwall Sign Two From Watford

Manager Lee Burch told millwall.fawsl.com about Mason; “I’m really happy to get Ellie on board. Anyone that saw her performances against us last season can see her quality and her goal at The Den was one of the best I have seen! She has fitted in really well with the other players and I’m looking forward to working with her.”

Ellie says “Millwall have always been a tough and strong team to play against, I know a few people who came here last season and they seemed to be getting stronger and better individually, so I wanted a challenge and luckily I got this opportunity to now be a Millwall Lioness.

On the signing of Read, Burch comemnted; “Phoebe is another player who is the right type to add to the group. She has a great attitude and her involvement with England youth shows her technical level. She is also versatile and will have a good impact on us for the Spring Series.”

Phoebe said on her move; “I was at Watford for almost four years and whilst I owe the club a great deal for developing me not only as a person but as a player, I felt like the time was right for me to seek a new challenge and find a club that will support my footballing ambitions.”

Both new signings will be eligible to make their debut this Sunday in the 3rd round of the SSE Women’s FA Cup versus London Bees at St Paul’s Sports Ground.
