Wythenshawe and Curzon Ashton made it back-to-back wins to start the season, the latter with the help of a four-goal haul by Amy Smith.

Accrington, Bolton, Penrith and Radcliffe all continued their winning starts, Stanley thanks to a Niamh Corrigan effort, Wanderers with a Lily Barnes goal, Holly Davenport with a decisive third for Radcliffe.

Wirral Phoenix 2-2 Chester

Mossley Hill and Poulton remain on maximum points following away wins, a Faye Stanhope double contributing to the former edging a seven-goal thriller. Wirral Phoenix’s Rebecca Tebb bagged a brace in the tie with Chester.

Newlaithes added the Cup to an unbeaten table-topping Spring/Summer League campaign,  lifting the trophy at Penrith AFC after Abby Telford got the only goal of the game.
