Michele Adams Awarded MBE

Adams has been involved in the female game for over 40 years now and that time featured winning 29 caps for Wales.

Coaching the national U-19 side, she helped bring on the likes of Jess Fishlock, Tash Harding and Sophie Ingle, who were all originally with City, Fishlock from the age of just seven.

“Seeing the youngsters you’ve helped coach reach the dizzy heights along the way is excellent,” the 59-year-old told BBC Sport, who won five Welsh Cups in her record-breaking managerial reign at Cardiff.

“To know you have been part of their success story is great. This is the highlight but it is very much for them as well as it is for me.”
