Mexico Make It To World Cup

Mexico is the 21st nation to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™, booking its spot in the match for third place at the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship.

Mexico qualified after a 4-2 a.e.t. win over Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday 26 October.

Trinidad and Tobago will get one more shot at qualification, with upcoming playoff matches against Ecuador on 8 November and 2 December. The winner of that two-match CONCACAF-CONMEBOL playoff series will be the 24th and final team to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™.

Also on Sunday 26 October, USA won the continental title after a 6:0 victory over Costa Rica. Both USA and Costa Rica qualified for Canada 2015 two nights earlier on 24 October.
