London Bees stung Watford with a 5-0 win at Vicarage Road to go sixth in WSL 2 and leave the Hornets winless in five games.

Wednesday May 18th
FA WSL 1
Sunderland 0-4 Liverpool (Att: 640)

Liverpool went third in the league following a fine 4-0 away win at Sunderland.

The match was only eight minutes old when Rosie White fired home from 20 yards and although Sunderland threatened with a Lucy Staniforth free-kick and efforts from Brooke Chaplen, Rachel Furness and Steph Roche, the visitors doubled their lead 9 minutes from the interval when Roche tripped Natasha Harding and Alex Greenwood converted the penalty.

Just after the hour mark, Roche saw her header tipped over the bar by Siobhan Chamberlain but it was Liverpool who scored again when Harding’s cross forced an own-goal by Steph Bannon.

It was 4-0 in stoppage time, Katie Zelem netting after good work by fellow sub Shanice van de Sanden.
