Manchester United have completed the transfer of 26-year-old England goalkeeper Mary Earps from VfL Wolfsburg.

Earps has already chalked up over 80 appearances for WSL sides in Doncaster Rovers Belles, Reading, Bristol City and Birmingham City and has a handful of England senior caps to add to her 28 games with the Young Lionesses age-groups.

She told manutd.com: “I’m delighted to have signed for Manchester United. Something special is happening at the club and I’m excited to become a part of that. I feel like this is the perfect place for me to reach the next level in my career.”

Reds manager Casey Stoney said: “Mary is a great addition to the team and will strengthen our goalkeeping department as we look to push on this season in the WSL”
