Scotland began their UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying play-offs with a narrow victory in Hungary after Martha Thomas struck.

The only goal arrived on the hour mark for Scotland but only moments after Dora Zeller had somehow missed a glorious chance fopr the hosts at the other end.

From a Nicola Docherty cross, Thomas got to the ball first and lashed it into the roof of the net.

Jenna Clark made a very timed intervention to protect the advantage, which Samantha Kerr might have doubled but her header wide of the neat post.
