Having a big advantage with their goals record, Leeds Medics & Dentists effectively had the West Riding Premier title tied up for a couple of weeks.
But Hepworth United twice scored four goals away from home in the space of as many days to stay in touch, at least in terms of points.
Leeds finally secured top spot with a 3-0 win at Silsden, where Helen Molloy, Victoria Palin and Rebecca Preston all scored.
Whilst awaiting confirmation of their league crown, the Medics had lifted the Shield after beating Hemsworth MW 4-2 in the final, where Gema Smales was twice on target, Malloy also netting, plus an own-goal.

On The March
March Town United (pictured top) were crowned S-Tech Cambridgeshire League Championship North winners with two games to spare.
Although rivals Wisbech Town and Swineshead both collected three points last Sunday, March had a walkover against lowly Thurlby Tigers to put them out of reach.
March go to Boston United this weekend, before completing their season at home to P&L Motors Diamonds at the GER Sportsground on 21st May.

Victoire’s Va Va Voom
Victoire pipped Tottenham Hotspur Development to the Greater London League Division 1 title with a 6-0 win at Luton Town Development, thereby sealing a third successive promotion since joining the GLWRFL.
Spurs were already up but missed out on the championship, as Josie Elliott hit a hat-trick, Jeanie Keable bagged a brace and Katie Jackson netting the other goal for the Wallington-based side.
Hackney had to settle for third place, a point behind the top two, despite finihsing with a 3-0 win over Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Hampton’s Beveree Stadium is the venue for the Greater London League Finals Day on 21st May, with the first of three games kicking-off at 11am.
Ton Of Goals For Title-Winning St Johns
St Johns had the Birmingham League Division 1 title as good as theirs after a 3-0 defeat of second-placed Sandwell Development on 30th April.
The pair were well clear of the rest of the table and although Sandwell finished with a 5-1 victory at Redditch United, it was never going to be enough to beat the much better goal-difference of the team from Tamworth, who accumulated 103 goals in league and cup.
