Manchester United women have recalled two players from loan in January, with Kiera Barry and Evie Rabjohn returning from spells at Sunderland in the Championship.
United have struggled for players at some points this season and the return of two stars is sure to reinforce their squad.
Manchester United recall duo from loan
After just over six months on loan at Sunderland, Kiera Barry and Evie Rabjohn’s time in the Championship is over.
Manchester United announced on Wednesday morning that the duo would be returning to the club in January.

Barry was more influential than her teammate while with the Black Cats, scoring three goals in 11 appearances.
Rabjohn on the other hand featured just six times in the Championship. The 20-year-old needed the minutes however, as she returns slowly this season from an ACL injury.
Marc Skinner made it clear just before the winter break that United could be busy in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have already recruited one big name of note. Lea Schuller made the switch from Bayern Munich almost immediately in the new year with United making a clear statement of intent to their rivals.
Much like the men’s team, United women don’t have much funds to work with in January.
It is unknown whether Skinner and co. will dip back into the market before it closes. With United still in four competitions, reinforcements may be needed with plenty of football to play before the end of the season.
Other Manchester United loanees
Barry and Rabjohn weren’t the only players on loan for Manchester United this season.
Lucy Newell has been playing for Birmingham City, with Jess Simpson taking her talents to Southampton for the season.
Not all of United’s loanees have been playing in the Championship, as Emma Watson completes the list. Watson is currently playing for Everton where she has struggled for game time.
There is no indication that United will recall any other players back from their loans, as they would have already made that decision early in the window.
