Ella Toone insists she will come back better than ever after the Manchester United star’s recent injury setback.
Ella Toone out until March with hip injury
The England international suffered a hip injury, which is expected to keep her out until at least March.
Marc Skinner in a press conference last week said: “She’ll be back before the end of the season. So, it’s probably about six to 10 weeks, depending on how it was from the point of it. So, you’re probably looking around six to eight weeks [from now], something like that.
“So yeah, she’ll be back before the end of the season and ready to go. We’ll be looking forward to welcoming her back.
Toone’s hip injury is a blow for the Red Devils as they fight on four fronts, including the Champions League.
Toone issues defiant message
Speaking on Manchester United podcast, Inside Carrington, Toone said the injury was “difficult” to take but is confident she will return better than before.
She said: “It’s difficult [being out]. I hate missing football games. So that’s just annoying.
“I don’t really like being in the gym rehabbing, but I’m in a good mindset. I know that I can come back bigger and stronger, and I know that I can use this time really wisely to focus on me and get myself feeling in a better place when I come back.

“The last time I had an injury, I came back and I was in a really good place. So, I know I can do it again.”
Toone was just shy of a century of consecutive league starts, at 96 games, before an injury kept her out for six matches last season.
She returned with five goals in four games and is hopeful of making a similar impact upon her return from this injury.
Toone said: “Now, the second half of the season, we’ve got the FA Cup, we’ve got the Champions League games against Atletico [Madrid], we’re fighting in the league still. We’ve got the Conti [League] Cup semi-final coming up, so there’s so much.
“It’s a disappointing time to be injured. But, like I say, I know I’m going to come back better.”
United face Arsenal in the Women’s League Cup on Wednesday night before travelling to Aston Villa in the WSL on Sunday.
Arsenal boss Renee Slegers has ruled Emily Fox as unlikely to play against Manchester United due to a head injury.
