Andree Jeglertz has been named WSL manager of the month after Manchester City maintained a 100% league record in October.
Manchester City firing on all cylinders
Although the October manager of the month has been awarded after only two games, Andree Jeglertz has earned the prize.
Manchester City continued their fine vein of form with important wins against Arsenal and Liverpool.
Jeglertz’ side kicked off their October with a five goal thriller against the Gunners. Despite being pegged back twice, City showed resilience to fight back and snatch a late winner to send them second in the WSL.

The three points against Liverpool was expected considering how they’ve started their season. Gareth Taylor’s men were able to put up a fight against City though and they nearly caused an upset.
Liverpool were level with just four minutes left to play, but last season’s golden boot winner Iman Beney scored a late winner for the second game running to save her side.
Two City wins was enough for Jeglertz to earn his first manager of the month award since he joined the club in summer.
What next for Andree Jeglertz and City?
City have a good run of fixtures when domestic football returns after the international break.
Jeglertz’ side face a West Ham team without a point next, which is quickly followed up by another relegation contender in Everton.
With five wins from their last six, City will be confident on six points in their next two games.
The Manchester derby then comes up midway through November. There is a chance that the derby will see second and third in the WSL do battle in a game that could decide second place.

With that being said, City are only one point behind Chelsea at the top of the table.
The Blues are still in reach of both City and United. Although they are still unbeaten in the league, this year could finally be the season Chelsea are dethroned.
