Manchester and Merseyside derbies in Barclays Women’s Super League

Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures feature the Manchester and Merseyside derbies at Etihad Stadium and Goodison Park respectively.

Manchester City will at least briefly go top of the table if they avoid defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday lunchtime. with leaders Chelsea not playing until late Sunday afternoon at West Ham.

Everton clash with Liverpool in Sunday’s opening fixture, Bristol City are six points adrift before hosting Spurs, Leicester City entertain Brighton with only two points between them, Aston Villa home home advantage over Arsenal in the evening match.

Birmingham City v Lewes (St Andrew’s, 2pm)
Blackburn Rovers v Southampton (Ewood Park, 2pm)
Charlton Athletic v London City Lionesses (The Valley, 2pm)
Crystal Palace v Watford (Selhurst Park, 2pm)
Sheffield United v Reading (Bramall Lane, 2pm)
Sunderland v Durham (Eppleton Colliery Ground, 2pm) – live on The FA Player

Sunderland lead three Championship title rivals by only one point and are up against Durham in a local derby. Second-placed Crystal Palace are home to a Watford side six points from safety, Southampton go to Blackburn Rovers, while Charlton Athletic have an all-capital clash with London City Lionesses.

Birmingham City are four points behind the leaders and hosting Lewes who need a victory to get out of the bottom two. Reading are two points above the drop zone and on the road at Sheffield United.
