England star Lucy Bronze enjoyed a holiday with Spain rival Ona Batlle ahead of the start of next month’s Women’s Euro 2025.
Chelsea defender Bronze is part of Sarina Wiegman’s 23-player squad who hope to retain their European Championship trophy in Switzerland this summer.
However, Spain are favourites to win the trophy, after beating England in the 2023 Women’s World Cup final.
Bronze and Batlle put the competitive rivalry of their two nations behind them as they enjoyed a trip ahead of the Women’s Euros. The former teammates have both been selected for international duty during the competition by their countries.
The pair recently posted photos of their trip, in which they were seen enjoying ice cream together, spending time in a pool, and going on a boat trip.
Neither Bronze or Batlle made it clear in their pictures where they visited on holiday, but the pair appeared to enjoy their time off before the intense competition of the Women’s Euros next month.

Lucy Bronze and Ona Batlle’s friendship
England’s Lucy Bronze and Spain’s Ona Batlle know each other well after both playing in Manchester at the same time, as well as briefly being teammates.
Bronze played for Manchester City at the same time that Batlle represented their local rivals Manchester United.
At the 2023 World Cup, Batlle was seen consoling a distraught Bronze after Spain beat England in the final.
That same summer, Batlle joined Bronze at Barcelona, after the England star joined the Spanish giants a year prior.
They were teammates for just one season as Bronze left for Chelsea in 2024, with Batlle still representing Barcelona.
Their close friendship has led to talk among fans that the pair are romantically involved. However, this is merely fan speculation and neither Bronze or Batlle have confirmed anything beyond friendship.
