London City Lionesses have signed Katie Kitching from University of South Florida and Shanade Hopcroft from Colorado Buffs.
Prior to her time in the US, attacking midfielder Kitching was in Manchester City’s WSL reserve league side
Manager Melissa Philips told londoncitylionesses.com: “Katie is a gritty attacking player who is versatile to play across multiple positions.
“She’s got a fantastic mindset coupled with her determination to drive at players and create, she will be a real threat going forward.”

Shanade Hopcroft spent much of her youth with Chelsea before spells at London Bees and Reading. She later helped Daytona State College Falcons to the 2017-18 Conference championship, then lead Colorado Buffaloes attack with 13 goals and 12 assists.
Philips said: “Shanade is a competitor who plays with a tremendous amount of passion.
“She has the confidence, technical quality and flair in 1v1 situations along with a knack for goal.
“She played at the very top level out in the States and we look forward to the wealth of experiences she will bring in the second half of the season and beyond.”
