London City Lionesses have signed England youth international defender Teyah Goldie on a season-long loan from Arsenal.
She has been capped at U-19 level by England, for whom she earlier skippered the U-15s, played a number of first-team games for the Gunners and went on loan to Watford, where she sustained an ACL injury.
Goldie told londoncitylionesses.com: “I’m very excited to be here. I feel like it’s been a long time coming for me to come to a good place, with good people, and to be playing football again.
“I’m lucky enough to be familiar with a lot of the girls, which is lovely, and it feels like I’ve been here a lot longer than I have. Everyone has been really welcoming and has helped me settle in well.
“My number one aim for this season is to play regular minutes at a high level. I always want to play possession-based football and I feel that playing on this team will help me achieve that. I absolutely love defending and driving forward with the ball. I’m really excited to be here.”
