London Bees Land Four Signings

London Bees introduced their new acquisitions;

A player for Reading for the past two seasons, Welsh international Laura-May Walkley (pictured) is a powerful midfielder who will be a skilful asset. She commented that the high levels of professionalism and training at the Hive have eased her move to WSL 2 and that she is excited about the opportunity to help the Bees improve on their successes from last season to fight for promotion in 2017 and 2018.

As a left-sided defender for Watford, Amber Tullett impressed Bees’ head coach David Edmondson with her ability to make an instant impact on the pitch in matches against all teams in WSL 2. He further commented that she is a “cultured defender who will add balance” to the London Bees line of defence and make playing the style and formation he prefers markedly easier.

Mollie Burgess will add defensive depth to the squad and will surely be starting throughout the Spring Series for the London Bees.

Edmondson remarked that Jordan Littleboy is a “physically strong and technically able midfielder” who he is relying on to add to our ball-playing ability in the midfield. Competition between her and other Bees players will be tough in midfield but Edmondson believes that Jordan “has the ability to make a name for herself both at Bees and hopefully with the national team.”
