Liverpool vs Everton preview
There was virtually nothing separating the two teams from Liverpool in the WSL last season, with only one point between the sides.
As a result of Liverpool’s disappointing season the Reds sacked Matt Beard in February. Amber Whitley took over as interim manager until the end of the year until Gareth Taylor was appointed at the beginning of summer.
This season represents a completely fresh start for Liverpool and the vibes seem high around the camp after a positive pre-season.
Gareth Taylor has signed four stars so far this summer in Rafaela Borggrafe, Sam Kerr, Kirsty Maclean and Lily Woodham.
The loss of PFA Young Player of the Year, Olivia Smith, to Arsenal for a world record £1million was certainly a damning one and the Reds have failed to find a suitable replacement.

Everton on the other hand have signed seven new players this summer in an extremely busy window.
The Toffees also let eight stars leave after last season so the squad facing Liverpool on Sunday could be completely different to that of last year.
Ruby Mace was the final player through the door for Everton this summer after signing from Leicester in what is a club-record transfer.

As well as the new signings, Everton also announced that they would play all of their home fixtures at Goodison Park in a move that saved the stadium from demolition.
Brian Sørensen’s team endured a mix of results in pre-season, with a comfortable win against FC Midtjylland followed by a narrow defeat to Juventus.
Liverpool vs Everton team news
The first game of this season represents a real mystery lineup wise. There are likely to be plenty of fresh faces featuring for both sides.
Liverpool signed a new number one this summer and Rafaela Borggrafe is likely to start between the sticks.
Remaining summer signings Sam Kerr, Kirsty Maclean and Lily Woodham are all expected to start against Everton.
Having been named club captain this week, Grace Fisk will lead the Liverpool team out at Anfield.

New Everton record-signing Ruby Mace is unlikely to feature having only arrived at the club on Wednesday. Sørensen announced that there is a ‘chance’ Mace features though.
There are still plenty of new Toffees signings who could be in action on Sunday afternoon in the derby.
Martina Fernandez, Rion Ishikawa, Maz Pacheco, Katie Robinson and Ornella Vignola all played a prominent role in pre-season and are likely to feature against Liverpool on Sunday.
Predicted lineups
Liverpool: Borggrafe; Evans, Fisk, Bonner, Woodham; Kerr, Maclean, Holland; Enderby, Kapocs, Hobinger.
Everton: Brosnan; Pacheco, Fernandez, Ishikawa, Robinson; Hayashi, Wheeler, Van Gool, Vignola, Snoeijs, Momiki.
Liverpool vs Everton prediction
The Merseyside derby was played four times last season in all competitions. Everton won just one meeting, with two going to Liverpool and one finishing in a draw.
Everton hold good form at Anfield having won the last clash here 2-0 last season.
We think that with plenty of new faces still getting to know their respective teams, the derby could be a close fought affair in this weekend’s WSL opener and here at SheKicks we are predicting a 1-1 draw.
Prediction: Liverpool 1-1 Everton
