England Women’s U-23s drew with their French counterparts in Lisieux, following a 3-2 defeat to a late goal on Thursday.
Sunday’s game saw Naomie Feller give the hosts a 23rd-minute lead but this was quickly cancelled out by Ebony Salmon.
Mathilde Bourdieu was denied a goal for offside after the break and Sonia Ouchène hit the woodwork, while keeper Justine Lerond denied England a late winner.
Feller had also given France the lead in the first fixture, with Salmon again levelling midway through the half, Charlton Athletic’s Katie Robinson providing the assist.
Ella Pallis restored the advantage by the break but soon after it was all square again, Salmon setting up Liverpool’s Missy Bo Kearns to score.
But seven minutes before the end, France won it from the penalty spot as Manon Revelli netted via the inside of the post.
