The Lionesses will celebrate their Euro 2025 triumph later this year in a ‘Homecoming tour’

The Lionesses have announced three new fixtures to be added to this year’s calendar as part of a homecoming tour following Euro 2025 this summer.

England will play four fixtures across the country at the end of this year to celebrate their success in the summer.

What new fixtures have England added?

  • vs. Brazil – Saturday, October 25th – Etihad Stadium
  • vs. Australia – Tuesday, October 28th – Pride Park
  • vs. China – Saturday, November 29th – Wembley Stadium*
  • vs. Ghana – Tuesday, December 2nd – St Mary’s stadium

*Fixture against China had already been announced by England.

Sarina Wiegman looking forward to ‘Homecoming tour’

Head coach Sarina Wiegman said: “It is great that we can return to action after our incredible summer with four exciting fixtures at home. Each opponent will challenge us in different ways, which is exactly what we need with World Cup qualification beginning early next year.

“It’s very nice to begin against Brazil and it is also special for us to be able to play again for our fans in Manchester for the first time since EURO 2022. We know from the Finalissima in 2023 that they will be very tough opponents.

“We love taking the team around the country, so to also play Australia in Derby and Ghana in Southampton as well as the China PR fixture at Wembley gives us a lovely way to say ‘thank you’ for the incredible support we have had this year and before.”

Lionesses celebrating Euros success

England have the right to celebrate this year after being crowned back to back European champions in summer.

Sarina Wiegman’s team looked down and out of the tournament on more than one occasion but against all odds the Lionesses were once again crowned champions.

Following consecutive wins in the competition, England are priced at just 3/1 with UK betting sites to win Euro 2029.

Only Germany have ever managed three European Championships in a row and England are looking to join exclusive company.

Before the Euros return though, the Lionesses have the 2027 World Cup to contend with first.

World Cup qualifying begins in February so the Homecoming tour will be a good warm-up for Wiegman’s side.
