
Manchester City have agreed a new deal with teenager Lily Murphy, who will remain with the Cityzens until 2027.
The 19-year-old featured in 11 league games for Manchester City last season.

Manchester City fans will be excited by the contract renewal of Lily Murphy, who enjoyed a breakout season last year.

Murphy’s extension is her first since signing her first professional contract in 2024.
Across all competitions last year Murphy made 22 appearances, scoring two goals and picking up two assists in an impressive season.
The teenager joined City in 2022 and played for their academy until making her first team debut at the beginning of last season.

“It’s my childhood club so I’ve got a certain love for it, and I just love coming in every day training and I love all the staff and coaches. It’s an amazing environment to be in.”
Murphy is sure to play an even more important role for City next year now she has a year in the WSL under her belt.
With City confirming the departure of Chloe Kelly to Arsenal this summer, Murphy is guaranteed to get more game time.
Manchester City kick off their campaign with a trip to Chelsea on Friday, September 5th in what could be the hardest match of their season up first.
