Lewes FC have signed 25-year-old defender Ellie Mason from London City Lionesses for the 2021/22 FA Women’s Championship season.

Mason earlier played for Watford and Millwall before a spell at Yeovil Town, where the centre-back was top scorer in 2018/19.

“I’m very excited to be joining Lewes it’s a great environment and I’m excited to get going with the girls,” the former Lionesses’ skipper told lewesfc.com. “The club had a very good season last year and I can’t wait to see what the future holds”

Manager Simon Parker commented: “Ellie is one of the most talented and versatile players in this league and is someone we can play in a number of positions. With the ability to drive with the ball and her overall composure I look forward to seeing what Ellie can do with this team.”
