Martina has played football since she was 9 years old originally playing in the Czech Republic where she lived for 2 years before moving to England. Once settled in the UK, Martina played for local and for school teams before joining Harrogate town. Martina soon impressed and joined The North Yorkshire Girls’ Centre of Excellence until graduating to senior football where she plied her trade with Wetherby Athletic.
Martina said “I wanted to play for Leeds Ladies because I know that it is a great team with great skill and didn’t hesitate to take the opportunity to join”.
Lewis Atkinson, Leeds head coach had this to say about her:
“Martina has trained with us for a couple of weeks and showed great character and ability with her football, settling in to the squad immediately. Martina offers many attacking options to our squad and this was shown recently in our 5-1 win at Norton and Stockton where Martina helped herself to two very well taken goals. I am pleased Martina has joined Leeds and feel she will add value to our squad for many seasons to come”.
