Albion say that their new boss will have plenty to ponder with the senior open sessions just over a week away but Lawrence believes it’s a good fit for both parties.
He said “I am delighted that Louis has agreed to become our Head Coach.
“I was really impressed with how he engaged with us during the process and I’m extremely keen to see how this journey will take us moving forwards.
“Louis has been extremely successful as Birmingham City Ladies Development Team Head Coach for several years and joins with outstanding references and an appetite for success.”
Sowe said of his appointment:
“It was a very tough decision leaving Birmingham City Ladies where I’ve been for three-years, but the chance to be a 1st team manager was too good to turn down.
“I just felt the timing was right for a new challenge and to test myself out of my comfort zone.”
“I’m fully aware of the success this club has had over the last two seasons, but I’m not really a person that sets targets… my aim is to do better each season.”
