Late fightback and penalties win for Civil Service in NIWFA Super Cup

Civil Service stunned Division 3 leaders Lisbellaw United with two very late goals before beating them on penalties in the NIWFA Super Cup.

Chanel Lally and Olivia Marshall both scored in the last couple of minutes for Civil Service to make it 3-3 and force a shoot-out against Lisbellaw United, whom they then beat 4-2 on penalties.

Lisburn Ladies Swifts eliminated Coleraine 3-2 with a 90th-minute decider, Sarah-Jane Reid got both goals for Kilmore Rec as they progressed 2-1 at Hanover, likewise Lisburn Distillery’s Cora Maxwell in a similar scoreline against Belfast Ravens.

Cleo-Neece Taggart hit a hat-trick in Ballymoney United Ladies’ 5-2 victory over Oxford Sunnyside, Jessica Williamson bagged a brace as Craigavon City accounted for Carrick Rangers Falcons 3-0, Ballynahinch won by the same margin at Portadown but only after two very late goals.

Valley Rangers hit six at Mid Ulster Reserves, while Greenisland and Strabane Athletic each had a walkover.
