Saturday’s top-flight clash will be the first ever football match broadcast live on the popular social network, says the www.laliga.es website.
With the help of beIN Sports, the competition’s official broadcaster in Spain, all football fans will be offered a unique experience. The match, which will see the league leaders take on the club two places below them at 10:45 UK time on Saturday 28 May, will not be subject to any geoblocking and will be available in every country in the world.
The clash between Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club will see two of the best teams in the top flight doing battle at the Cerro del Espino Stadium. The home side currently find themselves in third and are targeting a top-two finish which would secure a place in next season’s Champions League.
The visitors, coached by Joseba Agirre, sit atop the 1st Division at present having lost only once so far this season, although Barcelona are breathing down their necks in second, just a single point behind.
Champions League places and the title are at stake in Madrid.
