The Harriers’ say; ‘We’re excited to confirm that the team will be spearheaded by new Manager, Vince Gordon.
‘Vince is an experienced manager, having recently managed in the FA Women’s Premier League, with a wealth of knowledge in the Ladies game, counting Birmingham City and WBA among his former clubs.
‘He’s already hard at work alongside new assistant, another former Baggies chief in Dave Smith, as they look to build their new-look side that will become the new Kidderminster Harriers Ladies team.
Vince said: “Kidderminster is one of the biggest clubs in non-league football and the chance to develop this new ladies’ side is a very exciting project and, hopefully, it can be the start of even bigger things.
“I can’t wait to get going and I’m fortunate enough to be assisted by Dave Smith – we’re expecting some exciting times ahead and we’re looking forward to developing a team that can make progress.”
The league in which the new team will be playing in will be confirmed in due course, but Managing Director, Dave Pountney, was nonetheless thrilled to welcome the new team to the Harriers family.
He said: “Everybody knows our drive is to ensure this football club is at the heart of the community and being represented by a ladies’ side is an important part of that – it’s something we were always going to do and I’m really pleased to see it taking shape.
“We’re pleased to have Vince and Dave with us and are looking forward to the new season.”
