As you all (SHOULD) know, it’s the annual FAWPL Charity Trophy this Sunday (13th August, 2pm KO) and it sees FAWPL Play-Off Champions Spurs Ladies taking on a stellar line-up of former England stars. They may have retired from playing but they’ve still got the skill and football brains, even if some of them may not quite have the legs anymore. It’s always great entertainment as well as a reminder of some of our past sporting talents and personalities and we urge you to make it along if you can, especially as it is for a very good cause, with the Bobby Moore Foundation the main beneficiary.
Plus, we are hosting one of our She Kicks Back events in association with our buddy @WoSoZone‘s Kieran Theivam from 5pm, after the main event.
We will be quizzing officials Michael and Lucy Oliver, Spurs gaffer Karen Hills & skipper Jenna Scillaci and also having a good chinwag (and some laughs) with at least seven of the England Legends taking part in the day.
There will also be some PROPER entertainment with Caroline Barker of BBC Radio 5 Live fame and also Carrie Dunn (author of ‘Roar of the Lionesses’) & her musical partner Jo, so get your tickets for some after match entertainement ‘with a twist’!
