Keith Boanas Is New Watford Boss

Watford say that UEFA Pro Licence holder Boanas brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role; including highly successful spells as Charlton Athletic’s Head Coach and, most recently, eight years as National Team Manager & Technical Director for the Estonian FA.

The Hornets will first play at their new home of Kings Langley FC on Sunday February 26, with a 2pm kick-off scheduled for the visit of London Bees.

Watford conceded last weekend’s SSE Women’s FA Cup tie to Doncaster Rovers Belles in order to ensure necessary preparations were fully in place ahead of the start of the league fixture programme.

“It’s been a time of much transition and change,” the club’s General Manager Ellie Kemp.

“However we believe we’re now on a very firm footing with Keith leading our coaching set-up told watfordfc.com.

“The players will be energised and ready for the challenges that lay ahead. We want to be a really competitive team and there’s no reason to believe we can’t achieve that.”
