Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan has signed a new one-year contract with Everton.

The 26-year-old told evertonfc.com: “I’m very excited to spend another year with this club.

“Having played in England for three years with two different clubs, I feel I have a good understanding of this league and the quality of teams that you’re up against.

“The level of opposition, the standards in training, the intensity of matches – having experienced that will be good for myself heading into the new campaign and hopefully I can use that to my advantage.

“I feel settled here and this upcoming season is an opportunity to show what I can do.”

Everton manager Brian Sorensen commented: “Courtney has shown in her performances for club and country that she is a goalkeeper capable of competing at the highest level.

“I’m delighted she has committed her future to Everton and I’m looking forward to having her competing for a starting spot next season.”
