Karen Carney awarded OBE in King’s Birthday Honours List

Karen Carney, Cheryl Foster, Kay Cossington and Patricia Gregory receive awards in King’s Birthday Honours List for 2024.

A former England international of 144 caps who is now a sports broadcaster and columnist, Carney is honoured with an OBE.

Foster is a new MBE, a playing career for Liverpool and Wales followed by becoming a referee and taking charge of a UWCL final and officiating at the Women’s World Cup.

Kay Cossington, Women’s Technical Director at the FA, has been awarded an MBE for services to association football.

Patricia Gregory, founding member of the Women’s Football Association, also gets an MBE.
