Crystal Palace and Wales international Josie Green is expecting big things from the Eagles this year with new management in charge.
Jo Potter took charge of Crystal Palace this summer and is reworking a new-look team ahead of her first season.
Exciting new start for Crystal Palace
Although Crystal Palace were relegated last season fans are still excited for the new campaign in WSL2.
Welsh international Josie Green believes that Crystal Palace could be a completely new side this year under Jo Potter.
“She is a very front-footed, attack-minded coach,” Green said. “I think you’ll see a different Crystal Palace this year.
“She’s got some really good detail for us as players. Every day, you’re learning something new and picking stuff up. Having been a player before, she understands what we need as players as well.
“It has been a hard pre-season but a good and productive one.”
Palace have played two pre-season games in preparation for the new campaign.
After thrashing Portsmouth 5-0, the Eagles endured a much quieter 0-0 draw against league rivals Southampton.

Will Crystal Palace bounce back this season?
Crystal Palace are one of the favourites to get promoted this season with betting sites.
With the WSL expanding to 14 teams from 2026/27, the top three from the WSL2 will have a chance at promotion this season.
“All of us will back ourselves to finish high up in the table, we know we’ve got the quality in the squad to do that.” Green continued.
“It’s going to be an exciting season. There’s going to be some competitive games; you can see that the league is progressing year-on-year and the teams are progressing within that as well. It’s an exciting league to be a part of and I’m looking forward to seeing us push on this year.”
Green herself played 17 games in the WSL last season in what was her first year in South London.
The Welsh international played in all three of her country’s Euro 2025 games and impressed despite getting knocked out in the group stage.
