Jordan Nobbs suffers ACL injury

Arsenal’s Jordan Nobbs has been confirmed as having sustained an ACL rupture in her left knee in Sunday’s FAWSL win away to Everton.

The injury came from a seemingly innocuous tackle she made, which resulted in her being given oxygen on the pitch and stretchered off.

With the Gunners already hit hard by injuries, it is a further test of the depth of the league leaders’ squad, not to mention a blow to the Lionesses’ World Cup preparations.

Arsenal go in search of their ninth straight win on Sunday at home to Brighton and have a massive match away to Manchester City a week later.
